Fallow was founded by three individuals in May 2019, two chefs Jack Croft and William Murray, and career hospitality entrepreneur James Robson. Fallow’s permanent home in St James’s market was established in November 2021 and has since attracted a string of awards including both the Marie Claire and GQ ‘sustainable restaurant of the year’ and the Caterer award for ‘best new restaurant’.
We’re on the hunt for a skilled and creative Video Editor / Videographer to help us bring bold culinary narratives to life—primarily on YouTube. This role is perfect for someone who’s not only a master of the edit but also confident behind the camera and thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment centred around food, sustainability, and hospitality innovation.
Key responsibilities:
- Film high-quality video content on location, including kitchen features, chef interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and event coverage.
- Edit engaging YouTube content, from longer narrative videos to tight, high-energy shorts and trailers.
- Cut and repurpose content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook as needed.
- Maintain consistency with brand tone, pace, and visual style across all videos.
- Stay current with YouTube trends, algorithm updates, and performance analytics.
- Contribute creatively to content planning, shoot preparation, and storyboarding sessions.
- Manage footage, basic audio capture, and lighting setups to ensure high production quality.
- Ensure all output is polished, professional, and on-brand—whether it's a kitchen feature or a behind-the-scenes chef spotlight.
About you:
- Prior professional experience shooting and editing video using Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar editing software).
- A strong portfolio showcasing both videography and YouTube edits (storytelling, pacing, titles, and thumbnails).
- Experience filming or editing food, lifestyle, or hospitality content is a big plus
- Strong understanding of what performs well on YouTube—from titles and thumbnails to retention strategies.
- Comfortable working with both professional camera footage and mobile-shot content.
- Strong technical understanding of camera operation, lighting, and basic audio recording.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to take creative direction and feedback constructively.
- A flexible mindset—you’re comfortable jumping into shoots or edits on short notice when needed.
