Are you an experienced Maintenance Assistant with a background in restaurants, hotels or hospitality, looking for a role with variety, responsibility and the opportunity to grow?

We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join Fallow Group and help keep some of London’s busiest restaurants running smoothly. You’ll already understand the demands of a fast-paced hospitality environment — where equipment needs to work, issues need to be resolved quickly and maintenance has to be carried out with minimal disruption to guests and restaurant teams.

We’re particularly interested in candidates who have strong experience in one core trade or technical discipline, ideally electrical, alongside broader general maintenance skills. One day you might be fault-finding an electrical issue, the next dealing with a plumbing repair, fixing furniture, supporting a kitchen equipment installation or helping with a larger maintenance project.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Maintenance across Fallow, FOWL, Roe & OXO taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance while continuing to develop your technical skills.

What you’ll be doing

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across our restaurants
Electrical fault finding and minor electrical repairs
Plumbing repairs and maintenance
Carpentry, painting, decorating and general repairs
Diagnosing faults and resolving issues quickly
Repairing fixtures, fittings and furniture
Supporting the maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment
Assisting with equipment installations and replacements
Sourcing parts and materials when required
Supporting larger projects and occasional overnight works
Keeping tools, equipment and maintenance stock organised
Ensuring work is completed safely, professionally and with minimal disruption to restaurant operations

What we’re looking for

You’ll need previous maintenance experience within restaurants, hotels, hospitality or a similar fast-paced commercial environment.
We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in at least one core discipline, such as:

Electrical maintenance

Plumbing

Carpentry

Mechanical maintenance

Building or facilities maintenance

Commercial kitchen equipment

Electrical experience would be a particular advantage.

You’ll also be:

Confident using hand and power tools
Experienced working around commercial kitchens and hospitality operations
Comfortable responding to reactive maintenance issues
Practical and solutions-focused
Able to work independently and prioritise effectively
Organised, reliable and proactive
A strong communicator who can work well with restaurant teams, suppliers and contractors

Most importantly, you’ll understand that in hospitality, maintenance isn’t just about fixing something — it’s about fixing it quickly, safely and properly so the operation can keep moving.
